About Annual Beach Bonfire Benefit
The Beach Bonfire Benefit was started in 2001 after the tragic events on September 11th. Local business owners and residents, Walter and Jennifer Woods of Graystone Builders of Maine, felt they needed to rally the community to raise funds for the NYFD. The excitement and success of the bonfire inspired and motivated the Woods family to create an annual tradition for the residents and visitors of York Beach to enjoy every year. Over the years, the bonfire has raised over $100,000 for local charities and foundations. With the help from family, friends, and the local restaurants/shops that support our cause, we have been able to keep this wonderful tradition alive. We hope to continue bringing the community together to enjoy live music, food, raffles, and the beauty of the beach & bonfire all while supporting the local community. Thank you all for visiting the page, liking/sharing, and hopefully attending! We promise it will be a great night for you and your family to enjoy!
