This morning's meeting included a great presentation by Wayne Boardman & Gerry Runte of York's Climate Action Plan Committee. The York Climate Action Plan is intended to be a roadmap to help the community prepare for the effects of climate change and to help us follow through on the emissions commitments.   The goal is to reduce our community's greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by 50% by 2030 and 100% by 2050.  Having set these goals the committee needs to develop a plan for how the community and Town government might achieve them - and developing such a plan was part of the commitment they made.  With the assistance of the consulting firm CivicMoxie, the CAP is expected to be completed by January 2022, with public hearings to likely be held in March.
