Rotary Recap May 29, 2026 ~ CLUB ASSEMBLY!

At this week's meeting, York Rotary continued its commitment to service by approving significant community and international funding initiatives.

The Club awarded its 2026 Caring & Sharing Grants, splitting $5,000 between Seacoast Wheelers and St. George's Children's Center Time of Wonder. Members also approved a $5,000 major project donation to Footprints Food Pantry & MainSpring, launched plans for new food pantry support projects, and approved a $4,000 donation to York Community Service Association for a commercial refrigerator.

Additional funding included a $1,000 sponsorship to Rhett's Roost and support for international projects in Mexico, Haiti, and Angola.

Members also celebrated family milestones, expressed appreciation for Jud Knox and the impact of Heart to Heart, and received exciting updates that registration for Four on the 4th is already well ahead of last year's pace, along with an update for the 2026 Car with a Cause Fundraiser.  Brad Countryman shared with the club the POS program, and provided some training for ticket sales at York Beach.
